There is a free guided walk around Richmond Park on December 26, Tuesday. The meeting place is at Pembroke Lodge Car Park. The activity begins at 10 A.M. and typically finishes midday. The Friends of Richmond Park is spearheading the activity. These free walks are open to anyone, no bookings necessary.
Meanwhile, in case you want to explore the park in style or simply want to do something new, you can check out the horse carriage ride at Richmond Park. The 60-minute ride allows you to explore the park in a relaxing manner. You can marvel at the winter beauty of the place and watch the wildlife in the area like the red and fallow deer, while sipping some wine or eating a pie. Also included in the tour is a visit to the working stables.
The schedules of horse carriage rides are as follows – December 8 to 10, 15 to 23 and 27 to 30. There are two rides available each day, one at 12 P.M. and another at 1 P.M. The tour commences at Holly Lodge. The ticket price is £125 for two people; refreshments are already included. In case you want the carriage exclusively to yourself, you may rent it for £375. Children aged 8 and above are welcome provided that they are accompanied by adults. As slots are limited, booking early is highly recommended.
If you are going to attend any of these activities, make sure you dress appropriately. Most importantly, observe park regulations. Some important rules to keep in mind are: no littering, no feeding or touching of deer, no climbing of trees, no fishing and taking of birds’ eggs and no bathing in a pond, among others. If you are bringing a dog, make sure that it doesn’t wander unsupervised. Failure to adhere to these regulations may result in fines.
