Invermark Estate Deer Encounter

Welcome to ‘Secrets of the Glens’- based in beautiful Glen Esk, these tours are part Land Rover safari, part wildlife walk; part local history tour and wholly captivating.

Whether you choose a full or half-day adventure, you will be sure to experience incredible wildlife, visit diverse habitats and explore ancient communities. You’ll experience first-hand how to read the signs that will tell the story of the glens and their inhabitants; past and present.

Many guests have been lucky enough to experience some of Scotland’s most iconic wildlife including the majestic red deer, the red squirrel, the golden eagle, the elusive mountain hare, red grouse and much, much more!

Guests are taken by Land Rover or on foot to some of the secret places of the Invermark Estate. You are likely to see some of our wonderful resident birds of prey and other moorland bird species, red and roe deer, perhaps a sunbathing adder and signs of plenty of small mammals and moorland predators.

Camera at the ready, enjoy spectacular mountain views and hear Andy tell of the challenges and adventures of his life as a wildlife manager and gamekeeper.

Half day tours include light refreshments prepared locally by Glenesk Retreat and a Full Day Experience includes a delicious lunch again prepared by Glenesk Retreat.
