Half Day Safari
Join Ian and Wild West Scot to look for Scotland’s favourite animals, including golden eagle, red deer, squirrels and otters. Learn about the geology, ecology, language and culture. Or, if you prefer, just close your eyes and listen to the silence….
Starting in Fort William or meeting clients along the route, this trip begins by looking for red squirrel at a forestry feeding site. We then cross the Corran ferry and head to a remote part of the Morven peninsula looking for otters, deer, seals, eagles and a variety of other birds. As well as the wildlife, the trips also cover the geology, history, language, culture and ethnobotany (the connection between people and the local flora) of the area. Not to mention, the scenery which never fails to be awe-inspiring.
We often meet in the car park located near to Neptune’s Staircase, however, this can vary. We can also meet somewhere along the route to make your trip more convenient. You will be contacted after making your booking to confirm all of this.
